Course Synopsis: This course introduces the student to the basic concepts and ideas of conducting an effective and successful surveillance. The course is for the beginner or as a refresher for the seasoned investigator, and starts with the importance of pre-surveillance planning, conducting, foot, and vehicle surveillance, both stationary and moving, as well as preparing a cover story should the student be challenged while conducting surveillance. The course finishes with what the investigator should be aware of if the target is conducting counter-surveillance. After completion of this course the student will have a basic idea of how to start and conduct a successful surveillance.
