John Sands has been actively involved in law enforcement and law enforcement education since 1971, received an Instructor's Certification in 1984, and has since taught over 1500 hours in police sciences.
In 1975, he received his Bachelor of Science in Sociology at Texas A&M University-Commerce, with an emphasis on Criminal Justice. Mr. Sands' training includes arson investigations, Kinesic Interview Techniques, and the forensic sciences. He was with the Commerce Police Dep't for several years before becoming an investigator for the Hunt County DA's office, and later for the 8th Judicial District Attorney's office.
Mr. Sands has been active in the North Texas Private Investigators Association since 1990, and the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators since 1993, while having held offices in each.
He has been recognized for distinction by Texas A&M University's Dep't of Sociology, and in 1980, formed "Sandiver & Associates", a private investigation agency based in Commerce, Texas.
